Habitat:
Coastal forest at edge of pohutukawa forest.
Notes:
Hybrid. Growing with Sophora microphylla (CHR 512957) and Sophora microphylla var. fulvida (CHR 512958, 512959). Leaflets obtuse, yellow-green, sparsely hairy, larger than fulvida, narrower than microphylla. Leaflets more or less deciduous like local microphylla, numerous like fulvida. Seed sown at Lincoln Experimental Garden nursery G291/97.
