Habitat:
Old habitation site, regenerating ferns and trees.
Notes:
Rhizomatous plant. Leaves shining beneath. Inflorescence erect. Sepals about 8-10mm long at flowering, pale green, whitish towards margins. Petals 3-3.4cm long, lanceolate, pale greenish - yellow. Staminodes (3) = 5.6 - 6.5cm long, red, more or less oblanceolate, yellow outside in lower part, erect at first. Staminode (labellum) = c. 5cm long, petaloid, yellow with red spots and red apex, strongly reflexing. Stamen yellow, dotted red, < style, reflexed in upper part. Style c. 4.5cm long, narrow linear, shining orange - red, erect.
