Habitat:
Open scrub on edge of rough pasture.
Notes:
Small, ? young, shrub. Main stems erect (? eaten by stock). Shoots subterete, two-angled or two-winged, dark reddish. Leaves pale glaucous beneath, reddish - brown when young. Flowers yellow with red calyx. Petals 5-6mm long, broad ovate. Immature fruits subglobose, glossy red. A solitary plant.
