Habitat:
Roadside cliff and adjacent steep grassy bank.
Notes:
Tufted herb forming small mats or cushions. Leaves erect, glaucous. Inflorescence erect. Calyx dark purple or greenish-purple. Limb of petals usually 13-15mm long, white to pink, more or less patent; lobes linear-lanceolate or narrow lanceolate. Specimens from several plants. Fairly common over many square metres.
