Habitat:
Cracks in old concrete platforms.
Notes:
Sprawling herbs with thick rhizomes or stems on ground and persistent old leaves. Mature leaves dark green above with white midribs; white beneath, revolute. Some leaves pinnate. Peduncles purple with peeling white pellicle. "Flowers" erect, closing in cold, dull weather. Rays 6-7cm long, variously coloured yellow, orange and dark brown. Disc yellow.
