Habitat:
Open semi-moist area surrounded by rank grasses and sedges.
Notes:
Shrub c.2.5m high with several main branches. Shoots green, with raised ridges beneath surfaces. Female catkins silky hairy, erect or suberect. The common Salix cinerea around had shoots differently coloured (not uniformly green) and smaller female catkins. An isolated plant.
