Medium-sized tree, spreading habit. Bark light grey, not collected, but fairly smooth. Shoots glaucous. Buds brown, not resinous, upturned. Leaves grassy-green, ± pendent. Cones persistent, c.8cm long, ovoid, light yellowish-brown or pale greyish-brown; umbo prickle minute.
