Notes:
Clump-forming bamboo with culms 4-6m high, deep green with pale green or whitish narrow stripes. Culm sheaths brown when collected with narrow paler stripes. Leaves distichous, glaucous beneath. A few culms flowering. Inflorescence large and diffuse, from flowering culms all branches lack leaves. Spikelets 1.3-1.6cm long, narrow and sharply acute; bright and shining green. Has been flowering for some time.
