Bottom of gully, moist open space.
Notes:
Large herb with stout pseudo-trunk of leaf bases c.20cm high. Leaves to nearly a metre long, strap-shaped. Scape nearly to a metre high, slightly 2 angled. Flowers fragrant. Perianth tube 5.5-6.5cm long, pale green or greenish white. Perianth segments 5.5-7cm x 8-9mm, narrow linear, soon becoming pendent and reflexed, white. Filaments 4-4.5cm long, purple except for white base. Style c. 11cm long and 2-2.7cm diam. (centre), the exerted part purple.
