Notes:
There is an area of 20 x 30 m where the orchid is concentrated. It is on a relatively steep slope with scattered Coprosma propinqua, Cop. [Coprosma] rhamnoides. It extends marginally into Carpodetus/Pseudopanax arboreus bush. Growing with it are Pterostylis montana agg. Thelymitra sp and exotic grasses. The species favours flatter areas where moisture would collect as the area would be fairly dry later in the summer. Partial shading by bushes also favoured. No more than 10% of plants were flowering at the time of the visit. Mosses also provide a moisture retention. The site does not appear to be the ideal for this species but it is surviving.
