Open evergreen low Metrosideros nervulosa -Howea fosteriana -Pandanus forsteri forest. Basalt. Shallow dark brown gritty loam.
Notes:
Tree 4m tall with open candelabra-shaped crown. Bark rough and dark brown. Leaves thinly textured. No signs of flowers or fruit. Locally common. (Photographed + voucher + DNA). DNA voucher 06/012
