Cultivated in sheltered site.
Notes:
Succulent tuberous-rooted herb. Leaves absent at flowering. Flower spike erect; rachis ± mottled purple. Flowers ± horizontal, arranged round rachis. Corolla c.6mm long, pale greenish tube; lobes c.1mm long, triangular, pinkish, remaining erect. Filaments of both stamen whorls adnate to corolla for most of their length. Carpels erect and parallel, green. Glands c.1.2mm long, linear, whitish translucent.
