Roadside, coarse herbaceous adventive vegetation.
Notes:
Herb with rather sprawling habit. Shoots more or less purple lower down. Leaves somewhat grey-green. Flowers in small heads (densely arranged). Corolla deep bluish-mauve; standard 10-12mm long; wings 5-6mm long, the whole corolla more or less directed upwards and inflorescence dense. A single plant, the inflorescence on an AK specimen. Flower measurements, but not colour, from a comparable wild plant in Christchurch, New Zealand. Sheets A, B, and C.
