Notes:
Tree c. 20 m high with massive trunk and dense, spreading habit. Leaves deep glossy green above with rose petiolar insertion site, pale green beneath. Specimen of leafy shoot from adjacent stump regrowth. Fruit cupule 3.3-3.7 x 4-4.3 cm, subglobose, very pale green, becoming deep rose, glossy. Drupe black, ribbed, 24-26 mm long, apical part forming a "turban". Seed globular or nearly so. Fruit and leaves from different plants.
