Notes:
Bushy herbs, very aromatic (typical basil scent of tropical Polynesia). Leaves membranous, dull green. Corolla white, bilabiate; tube c. 5 mm long; upper lip c. 5 mm long, curving upwards, 4-lobed; lower lip c. 7 mm long, parallel to stamens and style, ± straight, spathulate; corolla tube hairy inside towards base. Calyx tube with dense ring of hairs near base. Filaments densely pilose below. Style glabrous.
