Notes:
Large shrub c. 3 m high, dense, only strong vegetative shoots with the short spines. Leaves deep green normally, often chlorotic, lemon-scented. Fruit. 6.5-8 x 5-6 cm, ± broadly ovoid or broadly oblong-ovoid, with apical "beak"; skin rough and very rugose, becoming yellow; flesh very pale greenish or very pale creamy-green, very sour tasting. This is the "remene Maori".
