Notes:
Clump-forming pachymorph bamboo. Culms 4-5 m high when young, then arching over, deep green with glaucous bloom at first. Culm sheaths uniformly green at maturity, lacking hairs. Culms 1.5 cm diameter on larger culms, young culms with appressed black or dark brown hairs below nodes when young, extending down the internodes. Leaves with ± distichous arrangement, shining slightly above, glaucous beneath. Planted with Bambus vulgaris here and on Penrhyn and Manihiki.
