Notes:
Stems running and trailing over low vegetation, the leaves forming a dense screen over the ground. Lamina green with grey flecks in vein angles above. Flowers yellow; male and female roughly? equal size, wilting when collected so dimensions unable to be determined. Fruit to 45 x 20 cm, ± oblong-obovate, rounded at apex, dark green rind with mottling of pale green or pale brownish markings (possibly vice versa, i.e. dark green mottling on a pale background). Flesh orange. Fruiting pedicel thin and not thickened at all. A common cultigen and sometimes appears adventive.
