Notes:
Small bushy tree c. 3 m high, habit rather dense and with copious thorns except on main trunk. Leaves rather yellowish-green, membranous. Flowers c. 1 cm long; perianth segments narrow oblong, pale green on reverse, pinkish-white inside, bearded, strongly reflexed. Fruits mostly still young, most mature ones to 2.5 x 1.8 cm, broad ellipsoid-oblong, becoming yellow. Flesh pale, edible but tart. Seed light brown, c. 2 cm long. Fruits from different trees. Fairly common but scattered, along and just inside coconut forest.
