On ridge in main valley, rather low forest.
Notes:
Small tree with prop roots, 4-5 m high. Leaves rather membranous, dull deep or bright green. Inflorescence mostly over flowering, pendulous. Flowers orange; corolla segments 4-4.5 cm, narrow linear. Style pale yellow, c. 6.5 cm long. Stamens 4-4.5 cm long; filaments pale yellow. Inner phyllaries pale orange, 4-4.5 cm long. Leaves to 23 x 13 cm, ovate, short acuminate; veins paler. Petiole to c. 17 cm long, pale green with deep green dashes. Abundant at this altitude and above, but not much below it.
