Notes:
Giant clump-forming bamboo; rhizomes pachymorph (not running). Culms c. 25 m high, mostly 10-13 cm diameter, predominently yellow, but also green striped. Culm sheaths ± green when young, with copious dark brown hispid pubescence. Nodes with tuft of branches of different sizes. Leaves ± deep shining green above, glaucescent beneath with green band along one margin generally. This stand consisted of several clumps. These must have been originally planted long ago.
