Habitat:
Steep, scrub-covered slope, facing east.
Notes:
Clump-forming bamboo, pachymorph. Culms c.1m high, arching when mature. Culm sheaths purple. A few plants seen. A different species from that growing abundantly a little lower down the valley. They were "fairy" bamboos just like those in the Solu Khumbu, Note: this field may have been truncated. Please check against voucher.
