Tree about 7m tall and about 40cm dbh. Translucent glands visible in foliage when fresh and when held up to light. Almost certainly planted, now surrounded by second-growth kanuka and beech. (This tree was killed by ringbarking in about 1989 after land became Hinewai Reserve.).
