Cultivated in sheltered garden.
Notes:
Subshrub c.40-50cm high, branched, very foetid. Shoots, petioles and veins on lower side of leaf purple (dark). Corolla mauve, c. 8cm long, plicate, not opening widely; lobes with aristate tips c.5mm long. Fruit erect, c.4cm long x 3.5cm wide, almost square, light green and almost lacking prickles.
