Habitat:
Back of (coastal) fore dune, margin of low forest.
Notes:
Shrub c.2-2.5m high, with dense habit. Leaves pale green beneath, dark glossy green above, coriaceous, reddish-brown when young. Racemes pendent in fruit. Pedicels red. Fruit 7-10mm long, broad obovoid, black with a little bloom. Locally common.
