Habitat:
Sunny, dry slope, in open pockets on steep bank.
Notes:
Rhizomes very slender and long, yellow. Aerial stems erect; angles ± red. Leaves revolute, margins and sometimes the whole leaf red. Inflorescence reddish. Common in this habitat.
