Notes:
Shrubs c. 1 m high. Leaves foetid when bruised. Flowers pendent, fragrant (at least in the evening). Plant (a) flowers purple outside; semi-double ("hose in hose"), c. 19 cm long, excluding mucro c. 2 cm. Flowers; second type (b) corolla creamy white, semi double ("hose in hose"), c. 17 cm long, excluding mucro c. 1.5 cm long. Fruit subglobose, c. 4.5 cm across; calyx base persisting as a thick circular collar.
