Habitat:
Roadside, mainly among rocks just above taro swamp.
Notes:
Plant with long prostrate running stems. Leaves with grey flecks above. Male flowers 10-12 cm long, including mucro c. 1 cm, yellow, funnelform, plicate, green ribs. Fruit a pepo, deep green, mottled white.Pedicel of female flower not swollen or widened, except at point of attachment. Staminal column 2.2-2.5 cm. A few adventive plants which had spread along a number of metres.
