Valley bottom, small boulder stream bed, in au forest.
Notes:
Rhizomatous herb; rhizome on "mature" plant not collected but large. Leaves ± erect on mature plant, to c. 2 m high. Petiole rather mottled pale purplish, otherwise pale brownish, or green, channelled above. Lamina c. 80 cm long x 60 cm wide, dark shining green above. A number of plants.
