Notes:
Succulent subshrub with monocarpic habit. Stem stout with annular ring scars. Leaves in terminal rosettes to c.13cm across, each one green glaucescent; obovate or narrow obovate, to 7x3cm; margins often red towards apex. Cultivated as Aeonium valverdense and imported as this species by the late Marjorie ShieldsInflor. to c. 13 × 15 cm, ± flattened across top; bracts pink- flushed and ± caducous.Sepals c. 2mm long, triangular, pink tipped or tinged pink. Petals 8-9 in number, pale yellow completely, 7-9 × c. 3mm, lanceolate or triangular-lanceolate. Stamens pale yellow or greenish-yellow, < petals. Styles similar colour at early anthesis, then becoming red. Scales [see drawing].
