Notes:
Locally common shrub to 1.5 m. Mostly free-standing individuals, occasionally layering over areas up to 2 square metres. Under 4 m kanuka canopy with occasional Weinmannia silvicola and P. umbellatum. With Leucopogon fasciculatus, Cyathodes juniperina, Olearia furfuracea. Range of leaf shape evident in population cf. PJB 609 (AK 236172)
