Duplicate from Eastwoodhill Arboretum Herbarium Ngatapa, Gisborne, New Zealand. EWH. Altitude: 120m-297m. Aspect: sunny, sheltered, warm garden situation. Many trunked and branched bush with stems rising from ground around base. Height about 3m. Dense bush, branching alternate. Wood grey-brown. Flower scent very heady. Small white flowers, five petalled, with several upright white stamens, deep pink anthers. Buds pink tinged. Flowers opening to 1.5cm. Leaves dark green glossy upper, grey-green hairy underside. Margins red. Leaves upward facing. Sheets A,B and C.
