Duplicate from Eastwoodhill Arboretum Herbarium Ngatapa, Gisborne, New Zealand. EWH 448. Altitude: 120m-297m. Aspect: sunny, open, north east facing, mod-sloping hillside. Sheltered. Upright, medium - small tree, height about 6m. 4-trunked. Bark mid-brown splitting in long vertical strips. Leaves variable in length, up to 18cm. Flowers very heavily scented, salverform, with deep pink tubular section, and white petals on top,. Orange throat. Flowers 12mm tall. Flowering spike on end of branches. Anthers lying in upper part of corolla tube. Sheets A,B and C. Probably a hybrid, hand of W.R. Sykes, 23 September 1997.
