Duplicate from Auckland Institute and Museum Herbarium Auckland, New Zealand. An unusually fine-leaved form with more or less drooping inflorescences. It is collections such as this which have been attributed to Carex tenui-culmis by previous botanists working the island. Carex virgata is extremely variable on the island.
