On wet peat, in acid bog, exposed, amongst Schoenus brevifolius.
Notes:
ex Herbarium Jessica E Beever. Collected on Auckland Botanical Society trip based at Houhora, led by Lisa Forester. Specimen has many small pores in upper cells of branch leaves, curved branches, non-cucullate branch leaves, no fibrils in stem hyaline cells, stem hyaline cells 1 layer and sharply demarcated.
