Notes:
Dense lump-forming pachymorph bamboo. Culms dark green when young, initially with glaucous white bloom, eventually yellow-green, 2.5-3m high. Culm sheaths green and uniform (no spots); sheath lamina paler than sheath proper, shoulder and auricles at base of sheath lamina lacking; sheath hairs lacking. Branches 7-9 per node, one of them much larger and longer. Leaves glaucous beneath, tending distichous on shoots when in stronger light; but most of clump in shady conditions. Sheets A to B.
