Habitat:
Garden and surrounds. Spontaneous.
Notes:
Aromatic herb with erect to sprawling stems and soft slightly succulent leaves. Capitula erect, the ray florets closing at night and in cold weather. Abundant all over garden and in driveway. Adventive. Rays usually orange, 2.2-2.6cm long, sometimes yellow, oblanceolate. "Marigolds" have not been planted for some years here but plants grow spontaneously very abundantly. Yellow-flowered plants are scattered but fairly common. See specimen B (yellow flowers). Specimen A (orange flowers). Sheets A and B.
