Habitat:
River terrace, scattered trees amongst low scrub.
Notes:
Tree 25-27m high, with foliage in dense dark green masses, aromatic when bruised. Bark very thick, dark grey, strongly fissured. Buds brown. Shoots brown. Cone scales dark brown inside, pale yellow-brown apophyses. Isolated tree but others scattered in vicinity.
