Sheets A to B.
Supplementary remarks:
Identified as Q. ilex by J. Bannan (1981 B. For. Sci. Thesis U. of Canterbury). However Q. ilex fruit matures in one year. Both specimens show developing fruit on older wood and young fruit on the current season's wood - not a characteristic of Q. ilex in the literature. Does not appear to be Q. ilex var. bullata - leaves too large. No definite identification yet.
