Habitat:
Near track, open grassy strip, surrounded by open forest.
Notes:
Cormous plant. Stem purplish towards base. Flowers secund on spike, strongly zygomorphic. Perianth segments 9-9.5cm long, curving forward, scarlet (i.e. upper two). Three lower perianth segments are shorter, yellow except for light crimson areas towards apex. Stigmas mauve. Perianth "tube" more or less purple inside in upper part. A number of plants.
