Notes:
Canopy foliage from a 10m tall tree. Bark falling in square chunks. Exterior reddish-brown, furrowed. Interior pinkish grey. "Papery." Foliage larger than Metrosideros bartlettii in area. Weakly pubescent, shiny with prominent apical tips. See Supplementary Label.
