Stream bank a little way inland, band of forest.
Notes:
Small tree 7-8m high, extensively layering with numerous leaning smooth branches. Leaves glaucous beneath, dull green above. Calyx dark red-flushed or purplish-red flushed. Petals 9.5-10 x 7.5-8 cm, very broadly ± obovate but somewhat asymetric, yellow with dark crimson basal blotch, the yellow turning to orange with age. Style & stamen column c. 5 cm long; stigmatic area c. 12 mm long. Abundant.
