Habitat:
Volcanic slope, roadside on margin of forest of adventives.
Notes:
Small tree 6-7m high, with many main stems and tending to form large thickets. Leaves dark shining green above, subcoriacous. Hypanthium dark reddish calyx convex. Petals green outside c.1.5cm long, convex. Stamens cream, 3-5cm long, (1 flower).
