Notes:
Large plant with bamboo-like, pale yellowish culm c.1m high and c.3cm diameter; sap sweetish. Lower leaf sheaths purplish. Leaves erect except towards apex and 2-2.5m high; midrib above, channelled and whitish. Cultivation relic.
