Habitat:
Metrosideros dominant forest, on gentle slope of volcanic rubble. Shade.
Notes:
Subshrub with stems woody and semi-prostrate in lower part, then becoming erect and leafy. Leaves to about 3 by 1 cm. Only moderately succulent. A number of plants but no sign of flowers despite this being the right season.
