Metrosideros-dominant forest, 0n gentle slope of volcanic rubble. In shade.
Notes:
Small shrub or subshrub c.30cm high with arching and spreading dark reddish stems. Leaves pale glaucous below. Petals yellow, 10-13mm long, +/- elliptic, spreading horizontally or more. Sepals tinged red. Abundant.
