Notes:
Small tree with undulate leaves, deep shining green above, pale green beneath. Flowers fragrant. Petals dark purple except for whitish basal area, remainder of petal recurving, the whole 1.6-1.7cm long. Common. The deep green, rather tough leaves more characteristic of P. colensoi.
