Shrub c. 1.5-2m high, rather dense habit. Shoots light grey. Leaves subcoriaceous darkshining green above, paler below, becoming orange or crimson. Fruit 8-9mm long, broad ellipsoid, black with whitish bloom; fruiting pedicel red towards apex. Fairly common in this area north of Murchison. There is variation in the deciduousness of this species. Some bushes had quite green leaves on this date, others had only a few coloured or were leafless, whilst this one had some branches with green leaves and others with only orange or crimson ones.
