Habitat:
Dry subalpine Chionochloa macra - Hebe - Dracophyllum spp. heath on S-facing greywacke slopes, with small watercourses.
Notes:
Sphagnum with brown pigment Schoenus-Astelia dominated boggy area near summit of pass. 1992 - Stem cortical cells mostly with only 1-2 pores; stem leaves hyaline cell walls variably resorbed.
