Freshwater lake on dissected marine terrace surface. Growing on mud among sparse raupo on lake edge (also Sparganium).

Notes:
Typha orientalis, Sparganium subglobosum. Leaves decurrent with strong ribs on stem below leafbases. Stems pubescent all round. Sepals with a few glandular hairs among strigulose pubescence. Petals pink; tube with long straight hairs inside. Infl. erect. Seed with papillae in rows, but no "pellucid callusfrom pappus (cf. E. ciliatum).
